I decided to start up this blog around the time I started studying for an MSc in Computer Science.
It wasn’t entirely just for the hell of it. I’m studying part-time whilst I’m in full-time employment, which means that if you’re working too and thinking about going back to school you might just get something useful out of my ramblings. Plus, it’s nice to be able to look back at what I’ve been doing – back in the day you’d have used a diary for that, but this is the internet age!
Over the past year or so, I have diversified what I talk about a little. If I find something that I think is cool, I’ll blog about that. I’ve also posted up what I think are handy hints and tips when I come across them, but as should be kind of obvious because this is just a blog, if you choose to use them, you do so at your own risk. Do take backups and stuff, in case things go wrong! If something does go wrong, feel free drop me a comment or a message and I’ll try and help if I can, but I make no promises!
If you do happen to read this and you have any thoughts you want to share, get in touch. The best way to contact me is on twitter – you’ll find me as @brabster. If you’re looking to hire someone like me then please check out my CV.
